I know I typically blog about real estate tips and trends, but I thought it would be fun to share some little-known real estate facts in this one. Read on to learn some interesting real estate facts that you may not have heard about before:
1 – Chinese builders are capable of constructing a 30-story skyscraper in just 15 days with the implementation of prefabricated modules. Talk about fast!
2 – McDonald’s isn’t actually a fast food chain company, they are a real estate company. Franchises make the food, while McDonald’s gets paid for owning top-notch commercial real estate across the globe. Crazy, right?!
3 – The Burj Kalifa skyscraper in Dubai is so tall (2,717 ft.) that you can watch the sunset from the base of the building and then watch it again from the top in the same day.
4 – Warren Buffett – one of the wealthiest people in the world – lives in the same 5-bedroom house he bought in 1958 for $31,500. Talk about frugal.
5 – Here’s a spooky law: In New York, it is legally required that a seller report if they believe their home to be haunted.

11 – Great Depression gangster Charles “Pretty Boy” Floyd was considered a hero by the general public because he destroyed mortgage documents when he robbed banks – freeing people from their debt.
