Listings: Gotta Catch ‘Em All!
With the market improving and more and more homes being put on the market, home sales are picking up. It’s general consensus now that the housing recovery is reaching more and more people, but what can you do to hone your Pokémon skills and get more listings than your competing, local real estate agents?
It’s no secret that REALTORS are jostling for clients even more these days. The consumer is smarter, technology allows them to shop around, and people have more options at their fingertips now more than ever before. Here’s what you need to do to be the Ash Ketchum of real estate listings as more and more people are looking to sell their home.
Virtual Tours
Whether you are marketing a $200,000 home or a $2.75 million dollar home, technology is the way to set yourself apart from other agents.
Realtors need to realize that things like virtual tours, custom websites, and dedicated SEO blogging aren’t luxury items these days. They are mandatory. Put these videos on YouTube, share them on and put them on your professional website.
Professional Website
Everyone in the real estate industry should already have their own website. Most homebuyers and sellers are searching online for their agent. Here’s where you need to search engine optimize (SEO) your site for your name and area that you work in.
Use your website to give that professional image that people are looking for. Put your biography on there, have professional branding, throw on the testimonials, and start actively blogging to show your real estate and community expertise.
SEO Blogging
I frequently hear people state that they don’t know what to blog about, but there really are plenty of topics that you can cover that will personalize you in potential clients’ eyes, show that you are an expert, and explain how you approach your work. Better yet, all of these things further work to brand you and help to gain client trust.
Potential topics: recent success stories, community events, local charities, personal stories, and new listings.
So there you have it. If you don’t have these things, then this was just your wake-up call.
